Ute John

Ute John is founder and Managing Director of WissensWertSchöpfung Company Consultants. As a Knowledge and Quality Management professional she brightens the wits of companies and organizations. She has a degree in Computer Science, Diplom-Infomatikerin, with a major in (symbolic) Artificial Intelligence.

Ute’s professional background lies in Knowledge and Organizational Management, one focus being ontologies and using semantics for effective and efficient knowledge discovery. She has a long-standing history of working in various international leadership functions in the automotive and aerospace industries before starting her own consulting business.

Ute is President of the Gesellschaft für Wissensmanagement e. V., the German-speaking Knowledge Management Association, and its local representative in the German capital region. She promotes the collaboration of more technically oriented communities like Semantic Web, Linked Open Data or Qurator with the Knowledge Management community. The latter as yet focusses more on person to person communication.

Ute John is convinced that crosslinking organizational knowledge intelligently is key to business excellence. She centers her work on the human being - who carries the knowledge.

Ute lives in Berlin and in Wendland, Eastern Lower Saxony.
